Country Gates & Barriers is an affiliated member of the DHF – Powered Gate Group. This means that we must abide by all current health and safety law in order to ensure that our installations are safe and cannot cause harm to a person.

Accidents can & have been known to cause serious injuries and even deaths. As a result the owners of unsafe systems, (mainly due to lack of training or poor installation), can face prosecution as a result. With the necessary expertise, these accidents are avoidable.

We take the safety of all automated gates very seriously. Our Engineers undergo continuous, comprehensive training to ensure your installation is carried out to the highest possible standards.

All automatic gates, should comply with the following:

  • Machine Directive – 2006/42/EC
  • Radio Equipment Directive – 2014/53/EU
  • Electro-Magnetic Compatibility Directive (EMC) – 2014/30/EU

To ensure compliance with these directives, our company uses codes of practice and guidelines from the DHF, including the current gate guide and the recent TS 011:2016.

Country Gates & Barriers also conforms to the latest BS12453:2001 legislation and all implications for the installation and operation of powered gates.
