Country Gates & Barriers were contacted by The University of Liverpool for the supply, installation and automation of a pair of automated steel driveway swing gates with a matching pedestrian gate and intercom system. The client required safety and security for the site with the ability to communicate with visitors needing access to the site, along with a fob based system for staff members.

The Country Gates Civils’ team attended site prior to the gate being delivered and installed the concrete foundations including ducting ready for the delivery of the Driveway Gates. The manufacturer arranged for the delivery of the gate via HIAB and was dropped straight into position and fixed. The engineers installed full safety devices to include photocells, safety edges & a free exit loop. The gate was force tested and commissioned by two Country Gates engineers.

The matching pedestrian access gate was installed and fitted with a Maglock, gas closer and a shrouded push to exit button. A Videx ESK1A was also fitted along with a Paxton switch 2m access control with proximity fobs to gain access onto site. Our Engineering manager handed over the gates to the client along with a handover pack containing all operational, safety and maintenance information.
