Swing Gate Systems (Above-Ground and Underground)
We offer two different types of automation for Swing-Type Gates, an above-ground type or an underground option also.
The underground solution situated at the base of any gate piers or posts and flush with the driveway, is very neat, un-obtrusive, very popular and considered the most aesthetically-pleasing and discreet type of powered gate operator.
The above-ground solution is a gate-mounted operator expanding and contracting to push and pull the gate into the open and closed positions. It is also considered to be a better option on close-boarded gates because it is positioned across the gate leaf offering more strength on wider gates, in wind-affected areas.
Country Gates and Barriers offer a range of Automated Swing Gate Systems, hydraulic or electro-mechanical, dependant on exact requirements such as the amount of usage (i.e. average usage up to high intensity usage), as well as integrating a host of options to control the system, to tailor-make everything to suit exact requirements.
They include the following;
Voice/Video Intercom Access, Keypads, Vehicle Loop Detection, Remote Control Transmitters and much more.

- Electro-Magnetic Compatibility Directive – 2014/30/EU

In order to fully comply with all of the above, we install a number of safety devices to protect all users when being used. These include photocells and Category 3 monitored live safety edges to all points of entrapment, all of which allows us to Force-Test the gate, CE mark and issue Handover Certification on completion.
Sliding Gate Systems (Tracked and Cantilevered)
We offer two different types of automation for Sliding Gates, a “Tracked” or a “Cantilevered” option also.
The “Tracked” version is exactly that, a Track across the driveway & the full length of the opening to one side as well, for the Gate to run on wheels.
The “Cantilevered” version has no track in the ground whatsoever and instead a foundation block of concrete, outweighing the gate in the fully-opened is installed along with wheeled carriages to drive the Gate open and closed. This is a very popular model because there is no track to drive over.
