Country Gates and Barriers offer a range of Bi-Folding Trackless Speed Gates, providing the optimum solution where speed of opening and closing is essential and space is at a premium.

They typically open at speeds normally twice as fast as traditional swing gates of the same size which ensures a fast throughput of traffic whilst maintaining security of the site.

This automated system utilises a PLC controlled, inverter-driven single phase motor, supplying a 3-phase motor, worm & wheel gearbox, with a direct-drive shaft connected to the gate leaf ensuring a smooth and reliable movement. They are also rated for 100% duty cycle (i.e. continuous operation).

Available in a maximum entrance span of up to 8 metres and 3 metres in height, the gates are manufactured with standard framework and our standard round tube infills can be replaced with a variety of options such as “D” or “W” palisade profiles, timber panels, solid sheeting or various mesh types to integrate perfectly with all fence types.

We can also integrate a host of options to control the system, to tailor-make everything to suit exact requirements. They include the following;

Voice/Video Intercom Access, Keypads, Proximity Cards, Token Acceptors, Traffic Lights, Vehicle Loop Detection, Remote Control Transmitters and much more.

In order to fully comply with all of the above, we install a number of safety devices to protect all users when being used. These include photocells, possibly even dual-height if required and Category 3 monitored live safety edges to all points of entrapment, all of which allows us to Force-Test the gate, CE mark and issue Handover Certification on completion.
